New Years well Spent!!

Happy New Year once again and I hope 2017 brings you happiness, success and everything you guys work for 🙂

One of the fun things of being married and not having kids yet is doing things together like going to watch fireworks for New Years..(lol one of my fav things to do) or going on getaways etc. People keep telling us that it will last a year and then everything changes and disappears. I agree that life and people change but that doesn’t mean, you allow that to come in between the two of you, You still have a reason to keep your love bubbly and alive unless you don’t want to.

With that being said, I wanted to share with you guys, what we did for New Years.. My ideal way of spending new year’s eve is the countdown and watching the fireworks..LIVE! and that’s what we did but here’s the sad part: We couldn’t make it to the venue because we were stuck in traffic  looking for parking- and you know how the downtown city of Toronto or any big city can get!! We got to see the the “reflection” of the fireworks from the building across from it. Now that was lame BUT at least I spent it with my husband.

The next day though, Sunday, January 1st 2017, we went to Blue Mountain. It’s a ski resort in a very cute small village with restaurants and small shops. It’s about one and half hours away. Even though we had Monday off, we decided to spend the evening there, have dinner and come back home later that night and spend Monday doing the other chores.  The drive there was SO BEAUTIFUL- It was scenic, peaceful and white from all the untouched snow that had previously fallen.

Unfortunately neither of us knows how to Ski so we did not  ski but we did walk around the lake, have coffee, and then dinner at this greek restaurant called “Tholos”. We loved the Ambiance, food, staff and not to mentioned the belly dancer. So apparently, Belly dancing is also a Greek thing- doesn’t that make the greeks even more cooler?! lol

Our drive home was a little tiring and longer than it should have because we decided to take the smaller highways home and turned out that some of them were closed down due to construction.  We got home all exhausted and ready to get into some comfy pj’s.

By the end of the night, we were all ready to sleep with a smile knowing that we spent new years together happily and were ready to see what 2017 has got in store for us 🙂

Thank you for stopping by.. Stay tuned for my upcoming posts 🙂
